Printing Technology Course offered at Technical University of Kenya

Technical university of Kenya (Former Kenya polytechnic) is known for training Printers in The East Africa Region for decades. The printing Department falls under the school of Creative Arts and Technologies.

Here are the Courses offered at the department

• Bachelor of Philosophy (Printing)- Only offered to those who have a Higher Diploma in Printing technology.Its A 2 year programme.
• Higher Diploma in Printing Technology-Offered to those who hold a Diploma in printing technology in pre press,press or post press with a working experience.
• Diploma in Printing Technology-This is a full time 3 years diploma course,the student in final year specialises in either of the three options,namely pre press,press or post press
• Diploma in Printing and Packaging-This is a 3 year course and its only part time based.in the final year unlike regular diploma students a learner doesnt choose options to specialise in.
• Certificate in Print Origination-1 year certificate course.
• Certificate in Machine Printing-1 year certificate course,one specialises in running presses and maintanance
• Certificate in Print Finishing-1 year certificate course one focuses only in post press activities
